Electricity as a major usage necessitated the requirements of Fluorescent Lamps in ever increasing numbers for illumination purpose. There is only one Fluorescent Lamp manufacturing factory in Myanmar. That factory was joint venture between The Ministry of Industry (2) and Myanmar Lighting. The production capacity of that factory is just 400 pcs/hour which can produce about 4000pcs for the whole day. That quantity is just 7% of the country's Demand. In order to increase the productivity of our own that could reach the high quality of international standard, the decision to culminate this project in Myanmar has been made.

trustural construction was started on July,2000 . Canvassing around to acquire machines and equipment of high caliber, mutual friends introduced us to Mr. Myung Koo Park of Kumho Electric, Inc. of South Korea factory was using the highest technology of Japan in Fluorescent lamp manufacturing and so the decision to acquire both the machines and technical know-how from Korea was born.

While the outer building was being erected, the machines and equipment started arriving from the month of October, 2000, that were then installed by the joint co-operation of Korea and Myanmar Engineers who toiled day and night, shoulder to shoulder there by completing this job within the short period of (9) months.
